PM Modi to inaugurate projects worth Rs 8,140 cr during Uttarakhand's 25th anniversary celebrations on Sunday

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dehradun on Sunday to mark the Silver Jubilee of Uttarakhand's formation, according to an official release issued on Saturday.
The event, beginning at 12:30 pm, will feature the launch of a commemorative postal stamp, an address by the Prime Minister, and the inauguration of multiple development projects valued at over Rs 8,140 crore. These projects span key areas such as drinking water, irrigation, technical education, energy, urban development, sports infrastructure, and skill development.
PM Modi will also release Rs 62 crore to more than 28,000 farmers under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana. Highlighted projects include enhancing Dehradun's water supply under the AMRUT scheme, establishing an electrical substation in Pithoragarh, installing solar power units in government buildings, and opening an AstroTurf hockey ground at Haldwani Stadium in Nainital. Additionally, he will lay the foundations for the Song Dam Drinking Water Project and the Jamarani Dam Multipurpose Project in Nainital.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hailed the state's notable progress in 25 years and said the Prime Minister's visit will further boost development, improving residents' quality of life and advancing sustainable growth.
This visit reinforces Uttarakhand's development journey and the government's commitment to the state's future growth.
